Teach CTE Project Overview and PSA Contest
Region III Iowa Policy Representative Greg Kepner will host this session as Region III contract lead, Shari Hernandez shares our recent project.
Hear about our six-state ACTE Region III strategic project that will develop and distribute a CTE PR toolkit for Region Members. Discover how you and your students can contribute by competing and developing Teach CTE Public Service announcements. The winning PSAs will be distributed to media outlets and included in the toolkit.
Iowa ACTE is a part of a six-state Regional network that includes IA, IL, IN, MO, MN, and WI.  The Region has been working on projects relating to the CTE teacher shortage issues since 2016 and has identified a larger need for unified messaging about the CTE teacher shortage that can be part of a national push for more CTE educators.  This session will allow participants to:
1. Discuss the project goals and messaging materials to be included in a Teach CTE toolkit that will be available to all Region III members.
2. Review the guidelines for the Region III Teach CTE PSA contest.
3. Integrate the PSA contest into their programming.
