This presentation will cover the what, why, and how Federal Perkins Desk Audit Monitoring operates in the State of Iowa. Attendees will learn about the Federal Perkins Desk Audit Monitoring process from start-to-finish, about why it is done, and about why it is important. State monitoring of Local Eligible Recipients (LEAs) ensures that (we) Iowa are utilizing Federal Grant funds appropriately and correctly in accordance with the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V).
